About mondecast
Welcome.
I wanted to use this space to talk a little about what I am doing here.
Mondecast is a project that shares tools and frameworks to help you become a better language learner.
But language learning takes more than just the perfect framework.
It takes consistent motivation sustained over a long time. That’s why the second part of Mondecast centres around sharing interesting content about the world and its languages. It’s why I use a newsletter.
And why do it?
The more connected the world becomes, the more we need a better understanding of others’ countries and cultures. Languages are one of the main lenses through which we view the world. The better we understand each other through each others’ languages, the better world we can build (or so I hope).
Am I going to bring about world peace? No, but Mondecast is my small way of helping push the world in a better direction.
Simon
With over a decade of experience self-teaching languages and leading a language community, Simon has spent years researching techniques and putting them into practice himself. His first foray into content creation was the The Language Learner’s Handbook, a guide to help people learning languages. He started Mondecast with the goal of sharing his interest in people, languages and cultures.
